Physical activity, play and public health

We are huge believers in the ‘Right To Play’ campaign, and carry this through providing children and young people with a variety of free opportunities across a diverse range of sports and activities. Whether it be through football, basketball, boxing or even inflatable family fun, there is always something for children and young people to get involved within our communities!

Fun and Friendship

Across our projects, we aim to provide children opportunities to make friends and have fun. As they transition to young people and young adults, we will continue to provide and support them through further relevant activities. We integrate sport and play opportunities into a wide range of our projects, encouraging young people to make active choices and take control of their own physical well being. Whether it’s coaching courses, pick up and play sport activities or five-a-side tournaments, children and young people can get active and play in safer supported environments, make new friends and gain new skills.

More than a game…

At Powered by CAN we understand how powerful play and physical activity can be. Whilst improving physical well-being is a key part of our physical services, it is not the only focus!

We want all of our sessions to provide safer spaces for our communities to enjoy, escape and express themselves.

Our experienced play workers run sessions across Sandwell all year round, and we support Black Country Communities to create opportunities with their children, listening to their needs and changing their local landscapes for better, safer, more inclusive play and physical activity.
