Dr Vishalakshi Roy is an entrepreneur and business mentor with over 20 years’ experience in the creative and cultural sector in India, Europe and the UK. She is founder-director of research led consultancy Earthen Lamp, that specialises in research and strategy for the creative and cultural sector. She is also a certified member of the Market Research Society. Vishalakshi is a member of the Centre for Cultural Value’s Strategic Working Group working on the UK’s first commonly agreed set of Cultural Evaluation Principles.
Currently, Vishalakshi is an Assistant Professor at the Centre for Cultural and Media Policy Studies at the University of Warwick. She holds a honours degree in Accountancy and a Postgraduate Diploma in Advertising and PR from the Indian Institute of Mass Communications, Delhi. She was awarded a PhD in Entrepreneurship by Warwick Business School exploring the role of identity in entrepreneurship. Vishalakshi is a Foundation Fellow of Warwick Institute of Engagement and chairs the Learning Circle: Evaluation of Public Engagement.
